Celebrant Weddings
The decision to marry is an important milestone, one that should be marked in a way that is absolutely right for you.
Humanist and celebrant weddings are perfect for couples who would like a unique non-religious ceremony but feel a civil or register office ceremony is too impersonal.
Bespoke celebrant led wedding ceremonies can be held anywhere, you are not limited to a licensed venue, so they are perfect for weddings outdoors or in unusual locations. There are so many fabulous locations from the gritty urban to beautiful countryside that are available to you.
The ceremony can be short or long, follow a traditional structure or include more original ideas.
Rituals such as handfasting and unity candles are very popular at weddings. I can suggest and support you with these and help you to write your vows or promises to each other.
Whatever you choose to include, the focus of the ceremony will be the two of you.
Who am I?
To let you know a little bit about me, in addition to being a celebrant I work as a health visitor in Manchester and prior to this I was a midwife. My job allows me to meet and build relationships with people from many different backgrounds and cultures. It’s a privilege to be allowed into their lives at such a special time. I love to hear their life-stories and to discover what is important to them and their families.
I am also a creative person. I have degrees in photography and MA in visual culture, and I have worked for Manchester International Festival, Manchester Film Festival and The Whitworth Gallery.
I have an eye for detail and understand the importance of the presentation of your special day.
I love living in Manchester, and being part of its beating 'northern heart and soul'. I have great working relationships with many interesting and unique venues in the city centre.
Being a wedding celebrant allows me to meet fascinating people and express my creativity by creating a personal ceremony just for them. It really is the perfect job!
